Our experience is more geared to the older generation but I have noticed that French dances are not very much like English ones. Their waltz is more at Viennese speed, there’s another dance midway between a foxtrot and a quickstep but i haven’t fathomed out the pattern of the steps and then there’s the Tango which bears absolutely no resemblance to the one I learned!

Not that it is bad, if they played the decent 80′s stuff – but they don’t!
